With restored Victorian-era architecture dating back to the "Gold Rush" Bendigo is abundant with sandstone buildings, 100 year old gardens and large shade trees. The first thing you notice is the tree lined streets and amazing buildings leading you to the central Alexandra Fountain. Trams still operate in Bendigo and you won't want to miss out on a "talking tram tour".

Bendigo must be one of the most beautiful rural cities in Australia.   Every time you visit Bendigo they seem to be making improvements to the city.  This is a great time of year to visit the Bendigo Botanical Gardens, take a ride on the Talking Tram or go down the Central Deborah Gold Mine.  If it's wet sit in one of Bendigo's great cafes and enjoy the splendor of the surrounding heritage architecture. With Spring in the air you can visit Bendigo again and again - as I do.
